1. Creating your First Identifier

Overview

An identifier represents you or your organization when issuing credentials. You'll use it to cryptographically sign each credential, proving it came from you.

Prerequisites

  • None (this is the first step!)

Steps

  1. Navigate to Identifiers

  • Click Identifiers in the left sidebar
  • Click the Keys tab
  1. Create a key

  • Click New
  • Enter My key for the key name
  • Select Internal for storage location
  • Select ECDSA for key type
  • Click Next stepGenerate
  1. Create your identifier

  • Click the Identifiers tab
  • Click New
  • Enter My DID for the DID name
  • Select DID as type
  • Select DID key as method
  • Click Next step
  1. Select keys

  • Select My key for key
  • Click Next stepGenerate
