3. Issuing your First Credential

Overview

Now you'll issue your first credential by filling in information about a recipient. Once created, you'll receive a QR code for sharing the credential.

Prerequisites

• Complete Creating your First Identifier
• Complete Creating your First Credential Schema
• Procivis One Wallet or another compatible wallet app installed on your mobile device

Steps

1. Navigate to Issuer

• Click Issuer in the left sidebar
• Click Issue credential

2. Set up issuance

• Select Employee Badge for credential schema
• Select OpenID4VC for protocol
• Select My DID for issuer
• Click "Next step

3. Fill in recipient data

• Enter Alex Johnson for name
• Enter EMP-12345 for employee ID
• Enter Engineering for department
• Enter the current date for start date
• Select True for active status
• Click Next step → Issue

→ An issuance QR code appears

4. Accept the credential

• Using your wallet app, scan the QR code → Accept the issuance
